Our Green Tea Room
Slowing down the creative industries, one conversation at a time.
nobody handed me a roadmap to this industry. i had to draw my own.
i didn't grow up seeing a path for people like me. a first-gen filipino-american. the eldest immigrant daughter. the kid who loved to paint, to draw, to sew little plushies, to make silly song and dance covers in her room, always creating, but never quite sure where it fit into a life that was supposed to look a certain way.
the only acceptable dream was a stable one. so i pursued nursing, because that's what made sense. that's what felt safe… or at least, i almost did.
the only acceptable dream was a stable one. so i pursued nursing, because that's what made sense. that's what felt safe… or at least, i almost did. the green tea room was born from that feeling. the space i wish existed when i was figuring it all out. a space where industry feels less intimidating, more human. where conversations over tea open doors that used to feel closed.
